Having used other sandstone cladding in the past we found that whilst it was aesthetically pleasing, it was difficult to apply without making a mess. Real sandstone and man made moulded cladding generally requires hard fix mortars to apply it to a cementious substrate. Cement mortars are quite messy, particularly in retro fit jobs where there is work over existing patios, roofs, paving and paths. As most construction companies would attest “ wet trades!!!!”. Buildings move quite a lot in extremes of weather which is generally the cause of many cracked brick and rendered homes. Whilst we have our own installation teams the ease of application brings Unreal Stone into the capability realms of most competent “Do It Yourselfers”. Unreal Stone is made without the use of artificial oxides or colourants. It will weather and age gracefully over time as does the real thing. Unreal Stone is handmade in Australia, another mandate we had for our company. No single piece is the same as another.
